Bodega TorreCastillo began in the 1980s when Antonio López "TORRES", a lifelong winegrower, abandoned the bulk cooperative to start making his own wines with the help of his son Julián López.
TorreCastillo is synonymous with struggle. Fight for the quality of the wine and for a better vineyard management, for a careful work.
After restructuring and recovering the old vineyards, in 1970 new plantations were planted in the municipality of Montealegre. A very scattered vineyard, always looking for the best land for the cultivation of the jewel of the area, LA MONASTRELL, with altitudes of up to 900m.
Seeing these vineyards, one realises that the quality of the TORRECASTILLO wines is gestated in the countryside, with vines cared for with devotion, at the mercy of a continental climate, which brings out the best in each of these plants.
