Yecla is located in the north of the Region of Murcia, between the provinces of Alicante and Albacete. The city has around 35,000 inhabitants and has its own gastronomy, customs and even its own language.

The Yecla Wine Route offers a unique experience of culture, history, nature and gastronomy. All this through the universe that surrounds the world of wine, a universe with its own designation of origin since 1972.

The Yecla Wine Route has four wineries (Barahonda, Bodegas Castaño, La Purísima and Bodegas Evine), an oil mill (Deortegas), various complementary leisure companies and around twenty restaurants and rural accommodation located among vineyards where the charismatic and delicious Monastrell grape reigns supreme. In the surrounding area there are also several archaeological sites, a Roman wine cellar from the 1st and 3rd centuries A.D. and the imposing Mount Arabí, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These are very attractive plans to enjoy the great wine tourism that this town has to offer.

It also offers an annual agenda with 5 great wine and food events to enjoy a wonderful wine, gastronomic and folkloric experience: "La Ruta del Vino y de la Tapa", "el Envero de la Monastrell", "la Noche Tinta", "el Maratón Enoturístico" and the "Fiestas de la Vendimia".
